Back of A Good Night Santa |
And I'm this close to another finish which I should have done in the next couple of days.
I did start my new HAED, Believe, but I didn't get very far with it since I started it over three times! I'm stitching this one on 18 count Aida instead of 16 and I'm not use to 18 count at all. I was using 2 strands of DMC and it just felt bulky. So after about 400 stitches I ripped it out and started stitching with just one strand. After about 300 stitches I realized that I didn't like the coverage so I ripped it out again and started over again with two strands. I really irritate myself sometimes.
That's about it for now, I should be back in a couple of days with another finish. In the meantime, Happy Stitching!
Lovely finishes! Sorry about the frustration on Believe, it is hard to decide sometimes the number of strands of floss needed.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! You are really determined to stitch that HAED just the way you like it. I absolutely hate ripping out and starting over. It would stay in the bottom of my UFO pile for years! I admire your stubbornness!
ReplyDeleteLovely finish.
ReplyDeleteI love the fabric you used to back "Apple Time", it almost looks like halved apples with the seeds in the middle.
ReplyDeleteFantastic finishes!! Don't give up with your new project, it will all turn out fine. Just Keep calm & keep stitching ☺
ReplyDeleteYour finishes are very lovely! Good luck with your HEAD. I hope it will work fine now.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finish.
ReplyDeleteGreetings Manuela
look forward to watching you work on Believe - that chart is so pretty - your finishes are adorable especially your santa - may have to hunt that one down for myself - hugs and stitches, Amanda
ReplyDeleteHello
ReplyDeleteBeautiful finishes and Fern is stunning!
You have done very pretty stitching as allways !
ReplyDelete18 count is tough for me. I am finding 16 count for my HAED to be much easier on my hands.
ReplyDeleteCan you do a tutorial on how you finish your pieces into wall hangings? I would really like to not frame everything because of the cost. Speaking of, what did you end up doing with our SAL piece? I haven't decided what to do with mine yet.
