I took the day off work today to relax, stitch and catch up on all my recordings on my DVR. I got all settled into my chair this morning with my coffee and stitching and turned on the TV. To my horror everything is gone. All of my recordings are gone! I had the last episodes of Ringer and Castle on there, along with several other shows, and they are gone. All of them. Gone. Excuse me while I get a tissue.
I called the cable company and they tried resetting my box but that didn't work; they said that my hard drive must have crashed. They said they would MAIL me a new box and I should receive it in a few days. I told the lady that that was totally unacceptable! I pay a lot of money for my cable (not to mention my Internet & phone are with the same company) and I shouldn't have to wait a few days for a new box to arrive in the mail. A technician will be here this afternoon with my new box. Sometimes you just have to be bitchy to get the service you deserve!
In the meantime, I have nothing to watch on TV while I stitch. I should have just gone to work!
Okay, I'm done moaning. Now for a couple of progress pictures. Here's Fern and Autumn Fairy.
Hope everyone has a great weekend full of stitching!

Despite your preoccupation on your day off, such progress is significant.
Hello
Sorry to hear you lost all your recordings.
Yout stitching is looking beautiful.
Happy weekend.
Beautiful, Carrie!
Sorry about your recordings. Do you have on demand on your cable? They have a "catch up" in the TV section where you can watch all of the past episodes.
OMG Chelle, you are wonderful!! I didn't even realize that I had on demand but I do and I'm watching Castle right now! My day off just got a whole lot better! Thank you!!
Really any day at home stitching is way better then a day at work. Sorry you lost all you TV shows though.
Both pieces look great. Our cable box went out a few years ago. Same thing, lost everything I had recorded and we had to wait about a week to get the new box.
Linda
You're welcome. :O)
i can understand you were not too happy. Hope that everything is alright now. But have to say that you sure used the anger-energy well:-) You made great progress on both your lovely pieces!

Fern and Autumn Fairy are beautiful! The same thing happened to me with my DVR before. So very very very sad!
