The Rest of the C's

Still not a lot of stitching going on at my house.  I've been nursing the worst cold I think I've ever had!  I have been miserable for the last four days, but I think I'm finally coming out of my fog this morning and may be able to get in some good stitching time.  Here are my last two C charts

CIRCLE OF FRIENDS
By:  Nora Corbett

COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS
By:  Gail Bussi

Both of these charts are fun to stitch and I really love Circle of Friends and can't wait to get them finished.

I only have one D chart to work on; I had another D chart but I am not enjoying it at all so I think it's going to end up in the UFO pile.  I love the design but  stitching it has been no fun at all for some reason and If I'm not enjoying the stitch, then it has to go!  Have you ever found a chart that you just love but when you started to stitch it, you didn't love it as much as you thought you did?  Stitching is suppose to be fun not a chore.

Time to get some Saturday morning chores done so I can hit the stitching chair this afternoon!  Have a great Saturday everyone and Happy Stitching!!

A Couple C's

I'm moving right along with my alphabetical stitching by stitching on these for the last few days.
CATCHING THE BREEZE
By:  HAED
This HAED has been much easier to stitch on since is has blocks of the same color.  It still looks like a blob of nothing, but it has still been fun to stitch on.

CHRISTMAS ANGEL
By:  Lesley Teare

I really can't understand what my camera is doing.  I took these pictures at the same time, in the same place, with the same light conditions but this one looks all washed out.  I don't know if it's me or the camera.  Odds are it's me, but I'd like to think it's the camera!

I still have a couple more C's to stitch on before moving onto the D's.

Have a great Saturday everyone and Happy Stitching!!

Busy With The B's

I managed to work my way through the B's this week, although it took longer than it should have.  I didn't really stitch a whole lot this week on any of these but I did put some stitches in them so that counts!

Work has just been so busy that I'm almost too exhausted to stitch in the evenings.  Things aren't going to get much better for awhile either.  There is a new Sheriff taking office in January and there is just so much I have to do to prepare, plus add to that all of my normal end of year duties.  Oh well, such is life, I'm just thankful that the new Sheriff is keeping me in my current position as his Administrative Assistant.  Now on to some stitching!

BELIEVE
By:  HAED
I don't know why this picture turned sideways again, but it doesn't really matter because there's not much progress to see anyways.  This one is a tough stitch so far with so many thread changes.  It may take my lifetime to finish it.

BLIGHT, BROOMHILDA & BOOZ
By:  Carolyn Manning Designs

This one has been fun to stitch so far.  I'm hoping to have it done by next Halloween! lol

BLOWN IN THE WIND
By:  Vicki Leavitt

This picture looks all washed out due to my fantastic photography skills.  I would have had a lot more done on this one, but I had a mistake and I had to frog the entire thing and start over again.  So frustrating when that happens.

To recap the B's

1.  Bee Blessed by Gail Bussi

2.  Believe by HAED

3.  Blight, Broomhilda & Booz by Carolyn Manning
     Designs

4.  Blown in the Wind by Vicki Leavitt

Now onto the C's!

Have a great weekend everyone and Happy Stitching!

We Interrupt The B's to Bring You.....

Some Christmas finishing!  I spent the better part of yesterday morning finishing these.  The first one is from the SAL that Chelle and I did together a while back.  And yes, Chelle, we do need to get started on our next one soon!

Not a bad way to spend a Saturday morning!

I also want to mention that Lulu
from Crafting Across the Continents has given me the Liebster Award.  I have received this award before so I'm not sure if I can pass it on again, but I wanted to thank Lulu and tell all of you to go check out her great blog!

Now I'm off to do a few chores and then hit the stitching chair so I can get back to my B charts!

Have a great Sunday everyone and Happy Stitching!!

B Is For.....

I started on the B charts a few days ago, but I've only managed to stitch on this one so far.

BEE BLESSED
By Gail Bussi

I have been unusually tired this week and haven't done a whole lot of stitching, but I'm off work today so I'm hoping to change that!  I only have four charts that start with the letter B, so I'm hoping to get through those this weekend.

So now I'm off to sit and stitch my weekend away. Next up, Believe, one of my HAED charts!

Have a great weekend everyone and Happy Stitching!

Three More A's!

Will the A's never end??  Here's from the last couple of days.

AUTUMN

AUTUMN FAIRY
By:  Joan Elliott

Sorry about the hoop marks, I was just too lazy to iron them out for the pictures.  I have two more A charts to go and then I'll be moving on to the B's!!  I don't have nearly as many charts that start with B as I did A.

Chelle
asked if my 80 WIP's included any that I haven't actually started yet.  No, they are all started, even if its just a small start, all 80 or so have some stitching done on them.  A couple are even close to actually being finished.  Two of them just need the back stitching done and one just needs the beading done.

I have a fun-filled day of housework and laundry planned (blah), and a some stitching on those last two A charts!  Hope everyone has a great Sunday and Happy Stitching!!

Still Moving Through The A's

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving that was filled with love and laughter! My day was spent mostly in the kitchen first cooking and then cleaning up. Blah.  All that preparation and the meal lasts for maybe 20 minutes and then you're left with a mess! But it's all worth it just to have the family together in one place around the same table.

It was so great to read your comments and find that I'm not the only one with a serious amount of WIP's.  I feel soooo much better!!

I am still moving through my A's.  Next up are these.

AUGUST PERIDOT FAIRY

I didn't realize I had so many charts that started with the letter A, there are still a few more to go!

I'm off work today and I had hoped to get a bunch of stitching in but I'm expecting an early morning visit from my cousin and when we get together we can talk for hours so I'm not sure how much stitching will be done today.

Hope you all have a great Friday filled with stitching!

Happy Turkey Day!!

Wishing all that celebrate a very Happy Thanksgiving!  May your day be filled with love, laughter, and lots of yummy food!  :-)

The Letter A

Continuing with my alphabetical rotation, I worked on these two yesterday.

AFRAID OF THE DARK
Blue Ribbon Designs
By: Belinda Karls Nace

ANOTHER DAY IN PARADISE
By:  Diane Arthurs

So far I like working my WIP's in alphabetical order. It's nice not thinking about what I want to stitch next.

Linda
asked how many WIP's I have.  I don't think I've ever actually said the number out loud but here goes. I have 80 WIP's, give or take one or two.  I know it's a lot but when I see something I want to stitch I have to start it RIGHT NOW.  It's a problem.  But I do finish things, in fact I have finished 17 things so far this year.  I don't think that's too bad.

How many WIP's do you have?

WIP's A to Z

As someone with A LOT of WIP's, sometimes it's hard to choose what to stitch on and a lot of my WIP's end up not being touched for months.  I've tried using a rotation, but with so many it's too hard.  I've tried putting the chart names on pieces of paper and pulling one out at random, but I always seem to grab the same chart several times in a row; which should be really hard to do considering the number of little pieces of paper in the bag, go figure.

Anyways, I was out of ideas and then I thought why not stitch them alphabetically? I already have them in their own separate baggies and stored alphabetically (I'm anal when it comes to organization) so I won't have to think about what to stitch! And this way you will get to see ALL of my WIP's.  And here are the first two.  I worked on this one a little this morning
.

Here I Am!

I know, know, it's been over a month since I posted.  Sorry, life just has a way of getting in the way of some things.  I have been really busy at work and just too tired to get on the computer much when I get home.  Things have started to calm down now so I should be able to get back to regular blogging! I have so many blogs to catch up on too!

I do have a finish to share.

I think I've gotten October off to a good start with two more finish, finishes.

A GOOD NIGHT SANTA

Back of A Good Night Santa

And I'm this close to another finish which I should have done in the next couple of days.

I did start my new HAED, Believe, but I didn't get very far with it since I started it over three times!  I'm stitching this one on 18 count Aida instead of 16 and I'm not use to 18 count at all.  I was using 2 strands of DMC and it just felt bulky.  So after about 400 stitches I ripped it out and started stitching with just one strand.  After about 300 stitches I realized that I didn't like the coverage so I ripped it out again and started over again with two strands.  I really irritate myself sometimes.

That's about it for now, I should be back in a couple of days with another finish.  In the meantime, Happy Stitching!

Here She Is!!

Fern!  I finished her up last night.

FERN
By:  Nora Corbett

Here is a closer look at the beading.

Since I've had two finishes in the last couple of weeks, I decided to allow myself to start one of my new HAED's today.

BELIEVE

I'm in a Christmas kind of mood.

Tomorrow I'll be walking in another parade in support of my candidate for Sheriff.  It's only suppose to be a high of 59 degrees!  What was I thinking when I agreed to walk?  That's just too cold for a parade; I can't imagine who will even come out to watch it!

Have a great weekend everyone and Happy Stitching!!

Back to Reality

My vacation is over and now it's time to return to reality and work. Blah.  I hate that first day back from vacation, my desk will be overflowing with paperwork and it will feel like I've never been gone.

I did have a great week though full of stitching! I can't think of a better way to spend a vacation than to spend it stitching!

I spent today stitching on Fern.  Here is how she looked when I last posted an update

And here's how she looks today

I'm going to keep working on her until she's done since I'm so close to finishing her.  She has beads that need to be attached but not nearly as many as my Mermaids had!

That's about it for today.  Linda, I will be dropping your prize at the post office tomorrow on my way home from work.

Have a great week everyone and Happy Stitching!
