Houston, We Have A Problem!

No real stitching to report since I haven't had my needle in my hand for any consistent amount of time because you see I have become addicted to Words With Friends.  What an evil little game this is.  I have been playing with anyone and everyone that will play with me and it is seriously cutting into my stitching time!  I know there is a problem when I fall asleep with my iPod in my hand while waiting for my opponent to make their move.

So it's time to put down the iPod (at least for longer periods of time) and pick up my needle.  Hopefully I'll have some real stitching progress to show you soon!

Happy Stitching!

I REALLY WANTED SOME ICE CREAM!

I think I'm recovered from all that transcription I had to do at work.  Luckily I don't have to do those that often; I mostly transcribe the sensitive and confidential interviews/interrogations.

But I did find a new way to torture myself.  Hubby and I started an exercise program yesterday and we started it out by walking and can I just say that my legs are sore.  We went to our local park and started out slow before heading deeper into the park where there are hills, hills, and more hills!  I don't know what we were thinking.  Then there are these steps that are built into this one very steep hill that we walked up and I honestly thought I was going to die by the time I got to the top.  How pathetic am I?  I knew I was out of shape, but for all that is holy I didn't know I was THAT out of shape.  In my defense there were A LOT of steps!

We thought we deserved to stop for ice cream on our way home, you know as a reward for all the walking and climbing we did, but we were good and didn't stop.  I really wanted some ice cream.

On the stitching front I worked on Mermaids of the Deep Blue.  Here is how it looked when I pulled it out of my WIP pile.

And here's how it looks after a few hours of stitching.

IS IT FRIDAY YET?

It's been one of those weeks at work, and it's only Tuesday.  I've been busy transcribing interview tapes and the long hours of sitting, listening, and typing is really taking a toll on my neck, shoulders, back, and butt!  The tapes wouldn't be so bad to transcribe if I didn't have to strain at times to hear, and understand, what the suspect is saying.

It's very exhausting and by the time I come home I'm a bit on the cranky side and I just want to veg in front of the TV.   So, I haven't done a lot of stitching but I did manage to put a few stitches into these WIP's

My August Sampler is being stitched on 14 count oatmeal Aida using DMC floss.

So I'm looking forward to another fun-filled day tomorrow of listening to interrogations and adding lots of new words to my vocabulary!

Happy Stitching everyone!

ANOTHER LIEBSTER AWARD AND A FINISH!

I won another Liebster Award!  This time I received the award from Dulcinella!  Thank you so much Dulcinella, you have made me feel very special!  Since I started blogging on a regular basis I have discovered some really wonderful bloggers/stitchers.  You have all made me feel so welcome here with your kind comments.

And now for a finish, meet Scary Carrie! (really, that's her name! lol)

BACK TO WORK MEANS BACK TO REALITY!

It was so hard to go back to work today after having 5 days off, I wanted just one more day! I did manage to get all of my spring cleaning done and still found time to stitch.

I hopped from one WIP to another and here is some of what I worked on.

These are just a few of the ones I worked on over the last five days.

Which brings me to a question, how many WIP's do you have?  Chelle from Life On the Domestic Front recently asked me this question but I'm afraid if I tell her the actual number she will insist that I be carted off to rehab, and fast!

I just can't help myself, I see something I want to stitch and I start it.  It's a miracle that I ever actually finish anything, but I do.  Really.  I do.  Hey, I could be doing worse things, right?

Happy Stitching!!

IT'S SPRING CLEANING TIME!

It's that time of year when I take a couple of days off work to spring clean my house so I'm up early and ready to get started!  I love the feeling I get from a fresh smelling, deeply cleaned house, I just wish it would stay that way longer then it does!

I've been busy the last few days but I did manage to get started on this....

This is the chart that I won from Lesli at Fabulous Frogger.  It's actually my very first LHN chart and I'm really loving it so far.  Sorry for the crappy picture but I can't figure out what I did to my camera to cause this yellowish tint to appear.

Well time for coffee, a little blog reading, and then off to spring clean!

Have a great Wednesday everyone and Happy Stitching!
