I Am So Lucky!

I have the greatest stitching friend ever!!  Look what I found in my mailbox yesterday....

Isn't that the most adorable chart?  Chelle
sent me this chart as a birthday gift, it even included the floss and fabric!  What a wonderful gift and what a wonderful friend I have!  Thank you so much Chelle, you really made my day!!

I'm home from work today, thought I would add an extra day to my long weekend.  I started the beading on Mermaids of the Deep Blue and can I just say OMG!  The beading is going to take me forever, there are just so many beads to attach. I started beading around 9:00 o'clock this morning and this is all I have managed to get done (it's almost 1:00 o'clock!!)  I have taken a "few" breaks, but still, what a freaking slow process this is!

My neck and back are killing me and I haven't even made a dent in the number of beads I need to attach.

I don't know how much I'll get done this weekend, my hubby is taking to me to a Travis Tritt concert tomorrow night and afterwards some gambling at the casino!  Sunday I will be spending most of the day and evening at the county fair working a booth for my candidate for sheriff.  Hopefully I can make some kind of progress on this today.

Have a great weekend everyone and Happy Stitching!!

Tons of beads, but the effect is stunning!

A lovely birthday gift. Good luck with the beading.

Happy birthday, Carrie. You have become such a wonderful friend.

Mermaids is just stunning. Try the pillow on your lap with the beads on felt so they don't go anywhere. It's faster and doesn't hurt you. LOL

Hugs,
Chelle

I love the effect beading gives but I am not a big fan of actually doing it - so you have my sympathy - the cats look like a cute stitch

Love the chart Chelle sent you. What a cute piece. The beading you got done is gorgeous. What a stunning piece when it is done. I now know that is another reason why I don't do charts with beads.

The beads look lovely. I will be doing beads for the first time on one of my WIPs soon.

Keep going with the beading, it's worth it in the end!
