Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!!!  It's hard to believe that it's 2013 already; time sure does fly.  I hope everyone had a great holiday.  We had a quiet New Years Eve at home with family.  I made dinner for our small group, we played a few games and everyone left around 10:30.  I tried so hard to stay awake to see the ball drop, but I only made it until about 11:30.  I really can't remember the last time I saw the ball drop.  Actually I can't remember the last time I saw midnight.  I'm a morning person and can rarely stay awake past ten.  I feel old.

I'm still working through my WIP's in alphabetical order and here is my one D chart.

And here is the D chart that is going into the UFO pile.

DAFFODIL FAIRY
By:  Joan Elliott

I think she's just gorgeous but she has been no fun to stitch for some reason and if I'm not enjoying it, then I can't stitch it.

Wishing all of you a wonderful 2013 filled with love, laughter, happiness, and of course LOTS of stitching!!

Happy New Year. Sorry to see that Daffodil is not going to be stitched - I love the yellows in that piece. Nice start on the December Sampler. I have a couple of Waxing Moon designs in my stash that may make an appearance this year.

Happy New Year! Don't feel bad about not staying up to see the ball drop. I would not have seen it myself if my son and husband had not woken me up right before the big moment.

I love your Waxing Moon sampler. It will be pretty when it is done. Hopefully the urge to stitch Daffodil Fairy will come upon you soon. Sometimes these things take time.

Happy New Year Carrie. I was getting concerned because you hadn't posted in a while. I love your D. Can't wait to start some of mine.

Happy New Year! Like you I'm also a morning person. On New Year's Eve I go to bed early so that I can sleep one or two hours before my husband wakes me shortly before midnight so that I can see all the fireworks at midnight.
I love Joan Elliott's flower fairies but have never stitched one but I have put one in my 2013 stitching folder. So I'll see soon how they stitch up. The daffodil one looks gorgeous, but you are right - stitching should be fun. So I can understand that you put it back into the UFO drawer, lol.

I can fully understand you: stitching something you don't enjoy is really not fun (no matter how beautiful the design is!)!! All the best for the New Year :)

I cannot remember the last time we stayed up to see in the New Year either.

Too bad you don't like your Daffodil Fairy. She is pretty. Maybe after you get through the alphabet and come back to her, you'll change your mind.
