POOR CLANCY.....

...he didn't make it.  Here is a final shot of him.  I can't show you the whole pillow because it's just too painful (and embarrassing!)  The poor guy is misshapen and has holes in all four corners? (can't even understand how that happened).  And you can also see the fabric is different; I destroyed the original fabric I had planned on using.  I may try this finish again one day, but it won't be soon!

In case you are wondering Clancy was in the April 2011 edition of Cross Country Stitching and was designed by Hearts 'n' Stitches.

RIP Clancy.  You deserved so much better then I could give you.

Oh no! I can't sew at all and I wish I could! But your kitty is adorable. I suggest a frame, lol. I know, I wish so much I could do something besides framing, that didn't need glue.

Oh Carrie, I am SOOOO sorry! That's why I'm so scared to finish anything. I don't want to ruin my beautiful stitching.

If you contact Faye at Carolina Stitcher, she does finishing for a small fee.

You could stitch Clancy again and send him off to have someone else do it. Oh, I really am sorry about this!

Hello

So sorry about poor Clancy. I was wondering if you could unpick him and frame him? It's such a shame when you've stitched him so beautifully.

So sorry about the finishing problem. I agree with Chelle, contact someone who does finishing work bet they could save Clancy...he's just too cute to not try!

oh I have so been there before, frustrated and just wanting to put the whole project Away...far away. The pillow on the post before looks like a "tuck" pillow, where the stitched piece is just put into the middle?

I am just like you, haven't tried any special finishes but I would sure like to. I'm so sorry it didn't turn out just like the example! Clancy is adorable, though!

Hi Carrie. I just found your blog, read the whole blog and became a follower. I'm so happy to meet another stitches that only uses aida fabric as I do. We have alot in common. I started Jan. by Waxing Moon, I have the 2 LK you did. Also have all the monthly by Raise the Roof and started Birdhouse Welcome by Joan Elliott this year. If you have a chance come by my blog and say hi.

Please continue to blog. I have only been blogging for a year and find it hard to sit down and do it. But we all so enjoy reading others blogs.
